Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

ABODIGITAL (Pty) Ltd, which owns Earnify (registration number 2015/253782/07) (“Earnify”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Earnify website and Android application. Earnify is the responsible party for personal information it decides to collect and use for accounts, wallets, rewards, support, security, and withdrawals.

The Privacy & Security page summarises how to download, correct or delete your data, object to processing, and contact the Information Officer.

2. Scope and Separate Provider Roles

This policy covers Earnify’s own processing on the website and app. Optional offer walls, surveys, advertisements, sign-in services, payment methods, email delivery, hosting, and fraud tools may be operated by other organisations. When a provider decides how it uses data for its own advertising, measurement, survey, fraud, or service purposes, its privacy policy also applies.

We identify a publisher before you use its offer surface. Website providers and mobile-app providers are not interchangeable: a provider available on the website is not automatically included in the Android app.

3. Personal Information Earnify Collects

3.1 Information you provide or confirm

• Account and identity: name, username, account identifiers, and an attestation that you are at least 18. We record the age-attestation date; we do not ask for a date of birth for ordinary registration.
• Contact: email address and, where provided or required for the chosen channel or feature, a South African mobile number. Email is required for the Android app and email/social sign-in flows; phone-based website registration requires a phone number.
• Consent records: your privacy/POPIA choice, cookie or publisher choices where presented, and associated dates.
• Credentials: a password hash for password accounts, authentication tokens, and one-time-code records. We do not store a plaintext password.
• Rewards and support: task references, reward history, wallet transactions, referrals, support messages, and privacy requests.
• Missing-reward reports: the provider, offer, expected reward, completion date, any description or provider transaction ID you give, and an optional screenshot. We attach the reference the provider uses for your account and any matching callbacks we received.
• Payout ratings: the rating you give after a payout, an optional comment, and whether you agreed to the comment being published.
• Withdrawal and verification: selected payout method and destination, transaction status, a South African ID number when the relevant verification flow requires it, and a passport number plus issuing country when a member who lives in South Africa without a South African ID number chooses to save those details, which may be used for identity verification where applicable. Do not send identity documents through a support form unless we specifically and lawfully request them.

3.2 Google sign-in

If you choose Google sign-in, Google authenticates you and provides Earnify the authorised account identifier and profile fields, such as email, name, and profile image, according to the sign-in permissions shown by Google. Google does not provide your Google password. Before using earning features, a social-sign-in user must separately record the required 18+ attestation and privacy choice in Earnify.

3.3 Automatically generated information

• request IP address, timestamps, app/browser and operating-system information supplied with requests, session and authentication events;
• task starts, completions, provider references, callback results, reward attribution, and interaction events needed to run and reconcile the service;
• security, rate-limit, audit, error, and fraud-risk signals; and
• device or network information a disclosed publisher independently receives when its content is loaded, as described in Section 6.

The current Android app does not request precise or approximate device-location permission and removes the Android advertising-ID permission. A network service or publisher may nevertheless receive an IP address and infer a non-precise area from it.

4. Why We Use Information

• create, authenticate, secure, and support your account;
• record adult eligibility and privacy choices;
• show eligible tasks, verify completions, attribute rewards, and maintain wallet records;
• process and reconcile a withdrawal you request;
• detect duplicate accounts, bots, manipulated callbacks, and other abuse;
• send service, security, support, and transaction communications;
• diagnose errors and improve reliability; and
• comply with legal obligations, enforce terms, and resolve disputes.

5. Grounds for Processing Under POPIA

Depending on the activity, processing is based on your consent; steps needed to enter or perform our agreement with you; a legal obligation; protection of your or another person’s legitimate interests; or Earnify’s legitimate interests in operating, securing, reconciling, and improving the Platform where those interests do not unjustifiably override your rights. Withdrawing consent does not invalidate earlier lawful processing and may make a consent-dependent feature unavailable.

6. Offer and Advertising Publishers

6.1 Current Android publisher: ayeT-Studios

The current native Android offer wall is supplied by ayeT-Studios GmbH. When you open or use it, ayeT may receive device type/model, network provider, browser or language information, app package/version, operating system, IP/network information, ayeT identifiers or cookies, offer interactions, and information you choose to submit in a survey. ayeT uses data to provide and optimise offers, determine eligibility, attribute and measure rewards/advertising, analyse performance, support users, and prevent fraud.

ayeT states that it may share relevant information with demand partners and advertisers, supply partners, market-research companies for selected surveys, fraud/analytics/viewability/geolocation/security providers, affiliates, and authorities where required. Its services can process data globally. Its policy describes general retention while the service is used plus 30 days, up to 90 days where needed for reporting, invoicing, or discrepancy investigation, and longer where fraud prevention, law, backups, or aggregated data justify it.

ayeT’s general policy also discusses advertising identifiers and GPS when a supply partner and user grant the relevant permission. Earnify’s current Android build does not request the Android advertising-ID or device-location permissions, but ayeT can still process the IP, device/app, internal identifier or cookie, offer-interaction, and survey data described above. 6.2 Website offer walls and ads

The Earnify website shows separately named offer walls from partner providers, and some Earnify tasks show ads. We name a provider here only while it is in use; this list comes from our live configuration and changes when a provider is switched on or off.

• Offer walls currently live on the website: AyetStudios, CPX Research, TheoremReach, TimeWall, Klink.

Website offer walls and ads are not part of the current Android app, which uses only the publisher in section 6.1. The provider shown on the wall or task you choose may receive a user/provider reference, IP/device/browser data, offer interactions, survey answers, and completion/fraud signals under its own notice.

6.3 Future publishers

Before activating any additional mobile publisher, Earnify will disclose its name and legal identity, policy link, data categories, purposes, recipient categories, retention/deletion approach, and cross-border processing; present any required in-app disclosure or consent; and update the Google Play Data Safety answers where needed. We will not activate an unnamed mobile publisher first and document it later.

7. Other Recipients

Earnify discloses only information reasonably needed for the relevant service:

• Authentication: Google when you choose Google sign-in.
• Withdrawals: the payment processors, banks, voucher fulfilment providers and other service providers needed to deliver the payout method you choose. They receive only what that payout needs, such as the amount, reference, account holder and destination account or voucher email. We will name a specific payout provider here once it is used to deliver payouts.
• Security and fraud: infrastructure and risk providers, which may receive IP, request, device/browser, account, or transaction signals.
• Operations: hosting, database, email, monitoring, and support operators acting under appropriate instructions or contractual safeguards.
• Website presentation: Google Fonts, the Tailwind CSS CDN, and unpkg receive ordinary web-request information such as IP address, User-Agent, requested resource, and potentially referrer data when normal pages load their fonts, styling, or interface scripts.
• Website analytics: Google Analytics (Google LLC) runs on website pages to measure visits and how pages are used. It receives the page address and referrer, browser and device information, your IP address and an analytics cookie identifier. See our Cookie Policy.
• Missing-reward escalation: when we send a report to a provider (the “Sent to provider” step), that provider receives what it needs to investigate: the offer, completion date, expected reward, your provider reference and, where relevant, your screenshot.
• Professional and legal recipients: advisers, auditors, regulators, courts, law enforcement, or a successor in a lawful corporate transaction where justified.

What we publish. The Member reviews page shows rating totals and, only if you agree and after moderation, your comment without your name. We never publish names, phone numbers, email addresses, bank details or ID numbers.

Earnify does not sell your name, phone number, or email address for cash. Advertising and survey publishers may use or disclose pseudonymous/device, interest, demographic, and interaction data for targeted advertising, measurement, or research under their own policies; some privacy laws may classify that activity as “sharing” or a “sale”.

8. Retention, Account Deletion, and Provider Deletion

Earnify keeps account and service data while your account is active and then only for as long as reasonably necessary for the original purpose, a security or fraud need, transaction reconciliation, a live complaint or dispute, backups, or a legal record-keeping obligation. Retention is reviewed by data category rather than applying an unsupported single period to everything.

• Account/profile and contact data are deleted or de-identified through the account-deletion workflow, subject to justified exceptions.
• Wallet, payout, tax, accounting, audit, anti-fraud, and dispute records may be retained for the period required or permitted by applicable law and then deleted or de-identified.
• Support and privacy-request records are kept while needed to answer and evidence handling of the request.
• Screenshots attached to a missing-reward report have hidden image data, such as location, removed when uploaded and are deleted 30 days after the report is resolved.
• Missing-reward reports, payout ratings and comments are deleted with your account, and a deleted member's rating leaves the published totals.
• Backups expire through their normal protected rotation and are not restored for ordinary use after deletion.

Deleting an Earnify account stops future use of the account but does not automatically erase data independently controlled by a publisher. For ayeT data, you may also contact privacy@ayetstudios.com. Its stated retention is summarised in Section 6.1.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable law and any lawful exception, you may ask whether we hold personal information about you; request access or correction; request deletion or destruction; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; ask for a portable copy where available; and complain to the Information Regulator. We will explain a refusal or retention exception where the law requires us to do so.

10. How to Exercise Rights or Delete an Account

• Android: Settings → Delete Account.
• Signed-in website: Profile → Delete Account. To get a copy of your data, use Privacy & Security → Download my data (a JSON file).
• Public request: use the POPIA Request Form if you cannot sign in or need another privacy action.
• Email: info@earnify.co.za.

To protect the account, we verify identity using information appropriate to the request. Phone is optional on the public form because some valid accounts are email/social-only. We aim to acknowledge requests promptly and will respond within the period required by applicable law. Complex requests, identity verification, or a lawful extension may affect timing; we will communicate where required.

11. Cookies, App Storage, and Publisher Identifiers

The website uses essential session and security technologies. The Android app uses local or secure storage for functions such as authentication and preferences rather than ordinary browser cookies. Embedded website content or a publisher such as ayeT may use its own cookies, SDK storage, or internal identifiers. See our Cookie and Local Storage Policy and the selected publisher’s notice.

12. Adults Only

Earnify is only for people aged 18 or older. We do not offer a parent/guardian consent route for a person under 18. If we learn that an under-18 person created an account, we will restrict it and delete or otherwise handle the information as required by law. Contact info@earnify.co.za to report such an account.

13. Security

We use proportionate technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted transport in production, password hashing, authentication and access restrictions, request/audit records, abuse controls, and protected infrastructure. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. If a security compromise affects personal information, we will investigate and notify affected people and authorities when required by law.

14. Cross-Border Processing

Some hosting, email, authentication, monitoring, payment, fraud, and publisher services may process information outside South Africa. ayeT expressly describes global processing in its policy. Where POPIA Section 72 applies to an Earnify-controlled transfer, we rely on an applicable lawful mechanism such as adequate protection, a binding agreement, consent where appropriate, or necessity for the agreement or your benefit.

15. Changes to This Policy

We will update the date above when this policy changes and provide appropriate notice or obtain consent for a material change where required. A new Android publisher will be disclosed before activation as set out in Section 6.3.
